CORN FRITTERS
Total recipe - 2.2g pro/5.5 units
Makes 12 Fritters
1 Fritter = 0.2g pro/0.5 Units
60g corn kernels - 2g pro/4.6 units
65g Pinnade protein free bread mix - 0.2g pro/0.8 units
150mls water
1/2 tspn baking powder
1 tspn salt
20g melted sundew
Oil for frying
If using frozen corn, cook first; if using canned corn, drain well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl. Gradually add water and beat well to remove lumps. Beat in melted sundew and corn. Heat oil in a deep pan. Drop mixture by the teaspoon into the pan. Cook until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
CAUTION: Corn is proportionally high in leucine, and may not be suitable for those with leucine impaired metabolism.
