MACARONI AND BROCCOLI CASSEROLE

Total recipe = 6.7g pro/15.5 units
Recipe gives 2 Serves; 1 Serve = 3.4g pro/8 units
lOOgm uncooked Loprofin macaroni - 0.4g pro/1 unit
55gm Fresh or frozen chopped broccoli - 3g pro/5 units
lOOgm Heinz condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (do not add milk) - 1.5g pro/4.5 units
50g PKU Cheddar cheese - 1.8g pro/5 units
75ml water - free
I/4 tsp salt - free
Cook, rinse, and drain pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking, cut broccoli into small pieces. In a small amount of boiling water or in a vegetable steamer, cook broccoli 5-10 minutes. Mix soup with water in a bowl; mix in cooked pasta, broccoli, cheese and salt. Divide mixture into individual casseroles. Cover and bake at 350°C (for 15 minutes. Refridgerate or freeze remainder for a later time.
CAUTION: This recipe is not suitable for severely restricted protein/unit intake. If you substituted zucchini or another suitable vegetable for the broccoli it would be less units - check with your manual or dietitian for an appropriate substitution.
